MEET THE ARTIST

Victoria Sequeira is a contemporary figurative artist based in Toronto, Canada. Her acrylic and oil based paintings are inspired by the traces every life leaves behind and the ways people shape one another. Through imagined scenes inhabited by simplified figures, familiar rituals, and commonplace objects stripped of place and time, her work explores how meaning is carried between people and why certain moments continue to endure.

Her paintings consider every person as a world far larger than the role by which they are remembered, inviting us to see people not as we know them now, but as they always were.
